Chapati is a type of Indian flatbread made from whole wheat flour. It is typically round in shape and cooked on a hot griddle or tawa. It is a staple food in many Indian households and is often served with curries or other dishes. If you would like to make chapati at home, here is a simple recipe:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- Water (as needed)
- Salt (to taste)
- Oil or ghee (for cooking)

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour and salt. Mix well.
2. Gradually add water to the flour mixture and knead it into a soft and smooth dough. The amount of water needed may vary, so add it slowly until the dough comes together.
3. Once the dough is formed, cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
4. After resting, divide the dough into small equal-sized balls.
5. Take one dough ball and dust it with some flour. Roll it out into a thin, round shape using a rolling pin.
6. Heat a griddle or tawa over medium-high heat.
7. Place the rolled-out chapati on the hot griddle and cook for about 30 seconds or until small bubbles start to form on the surface.
8. Flip the chapati and cook the other side for another 30 seconds.
9. Brush some oil or ghee on both sides of the chapati and cook for a few more seconds until it turns golden brown and puffs up.
10. Remove the chapati from the griddle and repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
11. Serve the chapati hot with your favorite curry or dish.

Note: This recipe is for a single piece of chapati. Adjust the quantities accordingly if you want to make more. Enjoy your chapati!
